These letters are must-reading for an inside look at CPS attitudes, assumptions, and policies. The actions of CPS workers are stunning in their heartlessness. So much for the rule of law, due process, and legal pieties about presumption of innocence: the state can crush whomever it will, for any reason, so long as there is enough public support for the action.
