There are options available to perspective students which are commensurate with your list. I will mention a few.

St. Thomas Aquinas College
Franciscan University of Steubenville
Christendom
University of Dallas

Jeff,

What is your perspective on the steps you've taken - namely, going back to an agricultural way of living - and how this endeavor ties into restoration as a whole.

If you've read my post today, you know it's on my mind, but I think you've taken a critical, if difficult step.

As a graduating student, I can assure you that the only benefits I got out of attending University was meeting new friends and borrowing books from the library. What do I remember from classes? Precious little.

Adrian: I thought about that too, but I think it's assumed in step #1. I'll have more to say about that later.

M and Melanie: Good questions, ladies. The idea of a university originated with the Church and is one of the glories of Christendom. Unfortunately most universities today have become repositories for the very ideas that are destroying the West. Therefore it is best not to participate in their new project.

Also, higher education has traditionally been reserved for an elite - for those with extraordinary intellectual gifts. Most of us aren't in that league, myself included. The assumption that everyone "deserves" higher education has created tremendous social problems, mostly rooted in the fact that people marry later and have fewer children.

I'm with M ... why abandon University? (I'll freely admit my bias here!)
